Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Calligraphy in Running Script by Qu Guliang was sold in the Exquisite Eye: Chinese Paintings Online auction at Christies in Hong Kong in November 2018. It changed hands for a price of HKD 17,500.00 (€ 1,975.18) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of HKD 10,000.00 – 20,000.00. Admittedly, works by Qu Guliang have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Landscape of Clouds in September 2019 with an auction result of USD 10,000.00 (€ 9,170.11).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Calligraphy in Running Script von Qu Guliang wurde im November 2018 in der Auktion Exquisite Eye: Chinese Paintings Online bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von HKD 17.500,00 (€ 1.975,18) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 10.000,00 – 20.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Qu Guliang auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Landscape of Clouds im September 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 10.000,00 (€ 9.170,11).
