Auction result misses estimated price range
In October 2019 a collector was able to acquire the work Lotus by Qiu Ying for HKD 204.00 (€ 23.32). This price was achieved in the auction Chinese PaintingsThe Online Sale at Bonhams in Hong Kong and was even below the estimate range of HKD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Qiu Ying achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Celestial Mountains and Pavilions in June this year with an auction result of HKD 31,230,000.00 (€ 3,649,219.78).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Oktober 2019 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Lotus von Qiu Ying für HKD 204,00 (€ 23,32) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Chinese PaintingsThe Online Sale bei Bonhams in Hong Kong erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 3.000,00 – 5.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Qiu Ying erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Celestial Mountains and Pavilions im Juni diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 31.230.000,00 (€ 3.649.219,78).
