This artwork by Qiu Ying achieved an unexpectedly high price at POLY in Hong Kong in May 2013. In the Delightful Harmony - Fine Modern and Classical Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy auction, the work Character Album sold for HKD 23,000.00 (€ 2,280.87) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 10,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Qiu Ying achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Celestial Mountains and Pavilions in June this year with an auction result of HKD 31,230,000.00 (€ 3,649,219.78).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Qiu Ying erzielte im Mai 2013 bei POLY in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Delightful Harmony - Fine Modern and Classical Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy wurde die Arbeit Character Album für HKD 23.000,00 (€ 2.280,87) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 10.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Qiu Ying erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Celestial Mountains and Pavilions im Juni diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 31.230.000,00 (€ 3.649.219,78).
