In June 2015 Sothebys in Beijing held the auction Modern and Contemporary Chinese Art, which included the work Invitation Ii by Qin Ai. The »bidding war« ended at CNY 330,400.00 (€ 47,779.74), 65% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Qin Ai - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Accidental Meeting, which sold at auction in August last year for HKD 1,062,000.00 (€ 134,425.04).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 65 % übertroffen
Im Juni 2015 führte Sothebys in Beijing die Auktion Modern and Contemporary Chinese Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Invitation Ii von Qin Ai zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von CNY 330.400,00 (€ 47.779,74) und damit 65% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Qin Ai mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Accidental Meeting beobachtet, die im August letzten Jahres für HKD 1.062.000,00 (€ 134.425,04) versteigert wurde.
