This artwork by Qian Dajun achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Hong Kong in November 2018. In the Exquisite Eye: Chinese Paintings Online auction, the work Excerpt from Analects and The Art of War in Seal Script sold for HKD 37,500.00 (€ 4,232.54) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 15,000.00. This high result makes Excerpt from Analects and The Art of War in Seal Script the most expensive artwork by Qian Dajun that we have observed at auctions so far.
