This artwork by Qian Chenqun achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in New York in September 2013. In the Fine Classical Chinese Paintings and Cal auction, the work Calligraphy In Running Script sold for USD 10,000.00 (€ 7,388.25) - well above the upper estimate of USD 5,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Qian Chenqun; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot DRAGON sold at auction in March 2015 with the realized price of USD 12,500.00 (€ 11,637.65).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Qian Chenqun erzielte im September 2013 bei Sothebys in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Fine Classical Chinese Paintings and Cal wurde die Arbeit Calligraphy In Running Script für USD 10.000,00 (€ 7.388,25) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 5.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Qian Chenqun; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit DRAGON im März 2015 mit dem Hammerpreis von USD 12.500,00 (€ 11.637,65).
