Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In October 2021 Sothebys in London held the auction Modern & Contemporary South Asian Art, which included the work The Navarasa Suite 9 by Pushpamala N.. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 6,930.00 (€ 8,210.18), 16% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Pushpamala N. have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Phantom Lady or Kismet: A Photo-Romance in September last year with an auction result of USD 37,800.00 (€ 38,638.45).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Oktober 2021 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Modern & Contemporary South Asian Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Navarasa Suite 9 von Pushpamala N. zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 6.930,00 (€ 8.210,18) und damit 16% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Pushpamala N. auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Phantom Lady or Kismet: A Photo-Romance im September letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 37.800,00 (€ 38.638,45).
