In the Important Old Master Paintings & Sculpture auction, the work A Vanitas Still Life Of A Goblet, A Wine Vessel, A Yixing Stoneware Teapot, Books, An Hourglass, Letters And A Globe On A Carpeted Table sold for USD 80,500.00 (€ 58,694.86) - well above the upper estimate of USD 35,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by The Pseudo-Roestraten; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Still Life Of Books, Musical Instruments And Other Objects On A Table Draped With An Oriental Carpet sold at auction in January 2011 with the realized price of USD 86,500.00 (€ 63,069.63).
