Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2007 Christies in Paris held the auction Dessins et Tableaux Anciens et du 19ème siècle, which included the work Un jeune homme arrêtant un cheval by Pseudo Gherardi. The price achieved of EUR 1,250.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. Other works by Pseudo Gherardi have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in February 2020 the work Recto: Souls In Purgatory; Verso: The Martyrdom Of St. Peter was auctioned for USD 1,500.00 (€ 1,360.54).
