A top price for Pseudo Gherardi - as previously expected
In February 2020 Sothebys in New York held the auction Old Masters Online, which included the work Recto: Souls In Purgatory; Verso: The Martyrdom Of St. Peter by Pseudo Gherardi. The price achieved of USD 1,500.00 (€ 1,360.54) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 1,200.00 – 1,800.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Recto: Souls In Purgatory; Verso: The Martyrdom Of St. Peter is the most expensive artwork by Pseudo Gherardi that we have observed at auctions so far.
