In May last year Christies in London held the auction The Collection of Sir Nicholas Goodison - British Art: Innovation and Craftsmanship, which included the work Update by Prunella Clough. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 7,560.00 (€ 8,893.62), 51% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Prunella Clough achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Fishermen with Sprat Nets II in March last year with an auction result of GBP 126,000.00 (€ 149,387.18).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 51 % übertroffen
Im Mai letzten Jahres führte Christies in London die Auktion The Collection of Sir Nicholas Goodison - British Art: Innovation and Craftsmanship durch, in der auch die Arbeit Update von Prunella Clough zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 7.560,00 (€ 8.893,62) und damit 51% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Prunella Clough erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Fishermen with Sprat Nets II im März letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 126.000,00 (€ 149.387,18).
