This artwork by Prunella Clough achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in May last year. In the The Collection of Sir Nicholas Goodison - British Art: Innovation and Craftsmanship auction, the work Small Gate Painting VII sold for GBP 22,680.00 (€ 26,680.86) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 10,000.00. Admittedly, works by Prunella Clough have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Fishermen with Sprat Nets II in March last year with an auction result of GBP 126,000.00 (€ 149,387.18).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Prunella Clough erzielte im Mai letzten Jahres bei Christies in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion The Collection of Sir Nicholas Goodison - British Art: Innovation and Craftsmanship wurde die Arbeit Small Gate Painting VII für GBP 22.680,00 (€ 26.680,86) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 10.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Prunella Clough auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Fishermen with Sprat Nets II im März letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 126.000,00 (€ 149.387,18).
