The work Scrap in a Yard by Prunella Clough was auctioned at Christies in London in May last year. It achieved a price of GBP 25,200.00 (€ 29,645.40), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 40%. Admittedly, works by Prunella Clough have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Fishermen with Sprat Nets II in March last year with an auction result of GBP 126,000.00 (€ 149,387.18).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 40 % übertroffen
Die Arbeit Scrap in a Yard von Prunella Clough kam im Mai letzten Jahres bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 25.200,00 (€ 29.645,40) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 40%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Prunella Clough auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Fishermen with Sprat Nets II im März letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 126.000,00 (€ 149.387,18).
