Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work The wait by Primus Mortimer Pettersson was auctioned at Bukowski in Stockholm in October 2012, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of SEK 10,000.00 – 12,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for SEK 8,000.00 (€ 930.39). Admittedly, works by Primus Mortimer Pettersson have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work "Soluppgång" in October 2010 with an auction result of SEK 39,000.00 (€ 4,185.19).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit The wait von Primus Mortimer Pettersson im Oktober 2012 bei Bukowski in Stockholm versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von SEK 10.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für SEK 8.000,00 (€ 930,39) den Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Primus Mortimer Pettersson auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit "Soluppgång" im Oktober 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von SEK 39.000,00 (€ 4.185,19).
