Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Prafulla Mohanti achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in London in May last year. In the The Surya Collection: Property from Mrs. Ute Rettberg auction, the work without title sold for GBP 5,040.00 (€ 5,929.08) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 1,800.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Prafulla Mohanti; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Untitled (Set of Four) sold at auction in March last year with the realized price of USD 10,080.00 (€ 9,086.81).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Prafulla Mohanti erzielte im Mai letzten Jahres bei Sothebys in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion The Surya Collection: Property from Mrs. Ute Rettberg wurde diese Arbeit ohne Titel für GBP 5.040,00 (€ 5.929,08) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 1.800,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Prafulla Mohanti; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Untitled (Set of Four) im März letzten Jahres mit dem Hammerpreis von USD 10.080,00 (€ 9.086,81).
