Auction result well in line with expectations
This work without title by Prabhakar Kolte was auctioned at Sothebys in London in May 2008. The price achieved of GBP 8,750.00 (€ 11,130.38) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 7,000.00 – 10,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Prabhakar Kolte - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work without title, which sold at auction in March 2007 for USD 42,000.00 (€ 31,404.22).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Prabhakar Kolte kam im Mai 2008 bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 8.750,00 (€ 11.130,38) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 7.000,00 – 10.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Prabhakar Kolte mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit ohne Titel beobachtet, die im März 2007 für USD 42.000,00 (€ 31.404,22) versteigert wurde.
