Auction result well in line with expectations
This work without title by Prabhakar Kolte was sold in the South Asian Modern + Contemporary Art Online auction at Christies in New York in March this year. It changed hands for a price of USD 1,386.00 (€ 1,274.83) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Prabhakar Kolte achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work without title in March 2007 with an auction result of USD 42,000.00 (€ 31,404.22).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Prabhakar Kolte wurde im März diesen Jahres in der Auktion South Asian Modern + Contemporary Art Online bei Christies in New York versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 1.386,00 (€ 1.274,83) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 1.000,00 – 1.500,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Prabhakar Kolte erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit ohne Titel im März 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 42.000,00 (€ 31.404,22).
