In March 2007 Sothebys in New York held the auction Indian Art including Miniatures and Modern Paintings, which included this untitled work by Prabhakar Kolte. The »bidding war« ended at USD 19,200.00 (€ 14,356.21), 60% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Prabhakar Kolte - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work without title, which sold at auction in March 2007 for USD 42,000.00 (€ 31,404.22).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 60 % übertroffen
Im März 2007 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Indian Art including Miniatures and Modern Paintings durch, in der auch diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Prabhakar Kolte zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 19.200,00 (€ 14.356,21) und damit 60% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Prabhakar Kolte mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit ohne Titel beobachtet, die im März 2007 für USD 42.000,00 (€ 31.404,22) versteigert wurde.
