Auction result well in line with expectations
In September 2006 Sothebys in New York held the auction Indian Art Including Miniatures & Modern Indian Paintings, which included this untitled work by Prabhakar Kolte. The price achieved of USD 10,800.00 (€ 8,512.65) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Prabhakar Kolte - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work without title, which sold at auction in March 2007 for USD 42,000.00 (€ 31,404.22).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im September 2006 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Indian Art Including Miniatures & Modern Indian Paintings durch, in der auch diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Prabhakar Kolte zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 10.800,00 (€ 8.512,65) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Prabhakar Kolte mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit ohne Titel beobachtet, die im März 2007 für USD 42.000,00 (€ 31.404,22) versteigert wurde.
