Auction result well in line with expectations
In April 2019 Sothebys in Paris held the auction Collection Particulière Italienne : De Giovanni Fattori à Giorgio de Chirico, which included the work Ritratto Di Giovane by Pio Semeghini. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of EUR 4,000.00 – 6,000.00, the actual price achieved of EUR 4,125.00 could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Pio Semeghini have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Merlettaia in May 2001 with an auction result of ITL 23,275,000.00 (€ 22,022.47).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im April 2019 führte Sothebys in Paris die Auktion Collection Particulière Italienne : De Giovanni Fattori à Giorgio de Chirico durch, in der auch die Arbeit Ritratto Di Giovane von Pio Semeghini zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von EUR 4.125,00 konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Pio Semeghini auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Merlettaia im Mai 2001 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von ITL 23.275.000,00 (€ 22.022,47).
