Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Portrait With Tefillin by Pinchus Krémègne was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in November 2019. The price achieved of USD 6,000.00 (€ 5,445.14) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Pinchus Krémègne achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Le Violon Bleu, 1914 in March 2012 with an auction result of EUR 58,438.00.

Die Arbeit Portrait With Tefillin von Pinchus Krémègne kam im November 2019 bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 6.000,00 (€ 5.445,14) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 5.000,00 – 7.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Pinchus Krémègne erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Le Violon Bleu, 1914 im März 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 58.438,00.
