Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Saint Matthew by Pietro Francesco Guala was sold in the Discovering Old Masters: The Legacy of Piero Corsini auction at Christies in London in October 2020. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 8,000.00 – 12,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 8,125.00 (€ 9,022.12) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Pietro Francesco Guala have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A Philosopher in July 2006 with an auction result of GBP 30,000.00 (€ 43,916.48).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Saint Matthew von Pietro Francesco Guala wurde im Oktober 2020 in der Auktion Discovering Old Masters: The Legacy of Piero Corsini bei Christies in London versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 8.125,00 (€ 9.022,12) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen.
