Here, the upper estimate of USD 4,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 4,410.00 (€ 3,634.12). Admittedly, works by Pietro Fancelli have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Death Of Lucretia in November 2007 with an auction result of GBP 19,700.00 (€ 27,585.10).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Recto: The Caledonian Boar Hunt Verso: A Female Figure Striding Forward von Pietro Fancelli wurde im Januar 2021 in der Auktion From Taddeo to Tiepolo: The Dr. John O’Brien Collection of Old Master Drawings bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 4.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 4.410,00 (€ 3.634,12) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Pietro Fancelli auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Death Of Lucretia im November 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 19.700,00 (€ 27.585,10).
