In January 2015 Sothebys in New York held the auction Master Paintings: Part I, which included the work Madonna And Child With Two Angels by Pietro di Domenico. The price achieved of USD 173,000.00 (€ 153,232.95) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 150,000.00 – 200,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Madonna And Child With Two Angels is the most expensive artwork by Pietro di Domenico that we have observed at auctions so far.
