Auction result well in line with expectations
In February 2024 Christies in New York held the auction Old Master & British Drawings, which included the work Study of the head of a horse and a stirrups by Pietro Dandini. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 4,000.00 – 6,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 4,032.00 (€ 3,523.86) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Pietro Dandini have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Queen of Sheba presenting King Solomon with gifts in May last year with an auction result of USD 35,280.00 (€ 32,876.71).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Februar 2024 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Old Master & British Drawings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Study of the head of a horse and a stirrups von Pietro Dandini zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 4.032,00 (€ 3.523,86) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Pietro Dandini auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Queen of Sheba presenting King Solomon with gifts im Mai letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 35.280,00 (€ 32.876,71).
