Auction result well in line with expectations
In April 2006 Christies in New York held the auction Important Old Master Paintings, Part II, which included the work St. Didacus Appearing To St. Mary Magdalen De' Pazzi by Pietro Dandini. The price achieved of USD 10,200.00 (€ 8,079.85) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. Admittedly, works by Pietro Dandini have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Queen of Sheba presenting King Solomon with gifts in May last year with an auction result of USD 35,280.00 (€ 32,876.71).
