Auction result misses estimated price range
When this work without title by Pietro Cascella was auctioned at Bonhams in May this year, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of USD 700.00 – 900.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for USD 446.25 (€ 418.86). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Pietro Cascella achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Altare in May 2013 with an auction result of EUR 9,000.00.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Pietro Cascella im Mai diesen Jahres bei Bonhams versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 700,00 – 900,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für USD 446,25 (€ 418,86) den Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Pietro Cascella erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Altare im Mai 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 9.000,00.
