Auction result well in line with expectations
In July 2015 Sothebys in London held the auction Old Master & British Drawings, which included the work Study Of A Seated Prophet by Pietro Berrettini. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 80,000.00 – 120,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 81,250.00 (€ 115,185.21) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Pietro Berrettini - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Christ And The Woman Taken In Adultery, which sold at auction in January 2016 for USD 490,000.00 (€ 452,363.37).

Im Juli 2015 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Old Master & British Drawings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Study Of A Seated Prophet von Pietro Berrettini zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 80.000,00 – 120.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 81.250,00 (€ 115.185,21) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Pietro Berrettini mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Christ And The Woman Taken In Adultery beobachtet, die im Januar 2016 für USD 490.000,00 (€ 452.363,37) versteigert wurde.
