In January 2012 Sothebys in New York held the auction Important Old Master Paintings and Sculpture, which included the work Saint Domitilla Receiving The Veil From Pope Clement I by Pietro Berrettini. The price achieved of USD 170,500.00 (€ 130,621.31) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 150,000.00 – 200,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Pietro Berrettini - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Christ And The Woman Taken In Adultery, which sold at auction in January 2016 for USD 490,000.00 (€ 452,363.37).
