Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Six Female Figures For An Allegory In Honour of The Collegium Romanum And The House of Borghese by Pietro Berrettini was sold in the Old Master and 19th Century Drawings auction at Christies in London in July 2006. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 80,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 90,000.00 (€ 131,749.45). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Pietro Berrettini - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Christ And The Woman Taken In Adultery, which sold at auction in January 2016 for USD 490,000.00 (€ 452,363.37).

Die Arbeit Six Female Figures For An Allegory In Honour of The Collegium Romanum And The House of Borghese von Pietro Berrettini wurde im Juli 2006 in der Auktion Old Master and 19th Century Drawings bei Christies in London versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 80.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 90.000,00 (€ 131.749,45) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Pietro Berrettini mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Christ And The Woman Taken In Adultery beobachtet, die im Januar 2016 für USD 490.000,00 (€ 452.363,37) versteigert wurde.
