However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Pieter Nason - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Portrait of a lady, three-quarter-length, in a silver silk dress decorated with pearls, standing in a park landscape near a bush of roses, which sold at auction in May 2008 for EUR 78,250.00.

Die Arbeit Portrait of Cornelia Reynst (1615-1708), seated, three-quarter-length, in a white silk dress with a gold-embroidered shawl and pearl earrings, necklace and head-dress, in a garden by a fountain von Pieter Nason kam im April 2005 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 16.800,00 (€ 24.866,44) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 40%. Für andere Arbeiten von Pieter Nason mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Portrait of a lady, three-quarter-length, in a silver silk dress decorated with pearls, standing in a park landscape near a bush of roses beobachtet, die im Mai 2008 für EUR 78.250,00 versteigert wurde.
