In October 2014 Christies in New York held the auction 19th Century European Art, which included the work Wood Gatherers in a Snowy Landscape by Pieter Lodewijk Francisco Kluyver. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 30,000.00 – 50,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 31,250.00 (€ 24,940.14) could thus just exceed the lower estimate.
