Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work A panoramic river landscape by Pieter Lodewijk Francisco Kluyver was auctioned at Christies in Amsterdam in October 2008, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of EUR 2,000.00 – 3,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for EUR 625.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Pieter Lodewijk Francisco Kluyver achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Figures in an extensive summer landscape, a windmill in the distance in October 2004 with an auction result of EUR 47,800.00.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit A panoramic river landscape von Pieter Lodewijk Francisco Kluyver im Oktober 2008 bei Christies in Amsterdam versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für EUR 625,00 den Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Pieter Lodewijk Francisco Kluyver erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Figures in an extensive summer landscape, a windmill in the distance im Oktober 2004 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 47.800,00.
