Auction result well in line with expectations
In July 2007 Sothebys in London held the auction Old Master Drawings, which included the work Wooded Landscape By Moonlight, With A Man And Child Walking Towards A Bridge by Pieter de With. The price achieved of GBP 6,000.00 (€ 8,911.39) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. Admittedly, works by Pieter de With have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Figures outside an inn, farm buildings and the pole of a dovecote, outside Amsterdam in January 2009 with an auction result of USD 47,500.00 (€ 37,097.78).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juli 2007 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Old Master Drawings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Wooded Landscape By Moonlight, With A Man And Child Walking Towards A Bridge von Pieter de With zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 6.000,00 (€ 8.911,39) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 5.000,00 – 7.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Pieter de With auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Figures outside an inn, farm buildings and the pole of a dovecote, outside Amsterdam im Januar 2009 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 47.500,00 (€ 37.097,78).
