Auction result well in line with expectations
The work A Venetian jug, façon de Venise glass, lemons, grapes, oysters, shrimp and cobnuts on a silver platter and a knife and ring on a partially draped table by Pieter de Ring was auctioned at Christies in New York in June 2012. The price achieved of USD 146,500.00 (€ 115,645.72) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 120,000.00 – 180,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Pieter de Ring - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Still Life With Oranges, Peaches, Grapes And Cherries In A Wan-Li Bowl On A Table Top, which sold at auction in July 2013 for GBP 224,500.00 (€ 256,530.38).

Die Arbeit A Venetian jug, façon de Venise glass, lemons, grapes, oysters, shrimp and cobnuts on a silver platter and a knife and ring on a partially draped table von Pieter de Ring kam im Juni 2012 bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 146.500,00 (€ 115.645,72) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 120.000,00 – 180.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Pieter de Ring mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Still Life With Oranges, Peaches, Grapes And Cherries In A Wan-Li Bowl On A Table Top beobachtet, die im Juli 2013 für GBP 224.500,00 (€ 256.530,38) versteigert wurde.
