Auction result well in line with expectations

The price achieved of USD 146,500.00 (€ 115,645.72) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 120,000.00 – 180,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Pieter de Ring - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Still Life With Oranges, Peaches, Grapes And Cherries In A Wan-Li Bowl On A Table Top, which sold at auction in July 2013 for GBP 224,500.00 (€ 256,530.38).
