In November 2003 Christies in London held the auction MARITIME AND NAVAL BATTLES, which included the work The Dutch attack on the English fleet in the Medway in June 1667 by Pieter Cornelisz Van Soest. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 108,250.00 (€ 155,394.48), 55% above the upper estimate.
