Auction result well in line with expectations
In July 2007 Christies in London held the auction British, Continental & Russian Pictures & Prints, which included the work Botanical Studies from Le Jardin du Roy tres Chrestien Henry IV by Pierre Vallet. It changed hands for a price of GBP 1,440.00 (€ 2,138.73) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. Admittedly, works by Pierre Vallet have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Le Jardin du roy tres chrestien Loys XIII, Paris, 1623 in May last year with an auction result of GBP 10,080.00 (€ 11,858.16).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juli 2007 führte Christies in London die Auktion British, Continental & Russian Pictures & Prints durch, in der auch die Arbeit Botanical Studies from Le Jardin du Roy tres Chrestien Henry IV von Pierre Vallet zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 1.440,00 (€ 2.138,73) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 1.000,00 – 1.500,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Pierre Vallet auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Le Jardin du roy tres chrestien Loys XIII, Paris, 1623 im Mai letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 10.080,00 (€ 11.858,16).
