Auction result well in line with expectations

The work Cherry Blossom, Kyoto by Pierre Ribera was auctioned at Christies in London in July 2005. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 800.00 – 1,200.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 840.00 (€ 1,218.41) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Pierre Ribera have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work À l'ami bourgeois, St Jean de Luz in March 2008 with an auction result of GBP 5,625.00 (€ 7,066.40).
