Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Apollo and the Muses in a landscape by Pierre Patel was sold in the Old Masters Evening Sale auction at Christies in December last year. The price achieved of GBP 81,900.00 (€ 92,457.12) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 70,000.00 – 100,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Pierre Patel achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A Landscape At Evening With Travellers And A Hunter Near Classical Ruins in July 2008 with an auction result of GBP 937,250.00 (€ 1,190,786.68).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Apollo and the Muses in a landscape von Pierre Patel wurde im Dezember letzten Jahres in der Auktion Old Masters Evening Sale bei Christies versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 81.900,00 (€ 92.457,12) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 70.000,00 – 100.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Pierre Patel erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A Landscape At Evening With Travellers And A Hunter Near Classical Ruins im Juli 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 937.250,00 (€ 1.190.786,68).
