Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Pierre Outin could be acquired at Sothebys in New York in January 2016 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Master Paintings & 19th Century European Art auction, the work A Fond Farewell changed hands for USD 13,750.00 (€ 12,693.87) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 15,000.00 – 20,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Pierre Outin - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work A quiet moment, which sold at auction in June 2004 for GBP 23,900.00 (€ 35,570.36).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Pierre Outin konnte im Januar 2016 bei Sothebys in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Master Paintings & 19th Century European Art wechselte die Arbeit A Fond Farewell für USD 13.750,00 (€ 12.693,87) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 15.000,00 – 20.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Pierre Outin mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit A quiet moment beobachtet, die im Juni 2004 für GBP 23.900,00 (€ 35.570,36) versteigert wurde.
