Auction result well in line with expectations
In March 2017 Christies in London held the auction Old Master & British Paintings, which included the work Roses, peonies and other flowers in an urn, grapes and peaches in a basket on a ledge, with further overflowing fruit by Pierre-Nicolas Huilliot. The price achieved of GBP 25,000.00 (€ 29,297.53) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. Other works by Pierre-Nicolas Huilliot have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in April 2016 the work Fruit In A Gilt Tazza With Ewers On Marble Ledges And A Monkey Smoking A Pipe On A Draped Ledge, With A Macaw was auctioned for GBP 37,500.00 (€ 47,936.15).

Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 25.000,00 (€ 29.297,53) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 20.000,00 – 30.000,00 angegeben worden. Andere Arbeiten von Pierre-Nicolas Huilliot konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im April 2016 die Arbeit Fruit In A Gilt Tazza With Ewers On Marble Ledges And A Monkey Smoking A Pipe On A Draped Ledge, With A Macaw für GBP 37.500,00 (€ 47.936,15) versteigert.
