Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Poupée by Pierre Molinier was auctioned at Sothebys in Paris in December 2018. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of EUR 9,000.00 – 12,000.00, the actual price achieved of EUR 9,375.00 could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Pierre Molinier - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Le Chaman (Photomontage – Planche 1 Du Chaman) – Vers 1965, which sold at auction in November 2015 for EUR 22,100.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Poupée von Pierre Molinier kam im Dezember 2018 bei Sothebys in Paris zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 9.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von EUR 9.375,00 konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Pierre Molinier mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Le Chaman (Photomontage – Planche 1 Du Chaman) – Vers 1965 beobachtet, die im November 2015 für EUR 22.100,00 versteigert wurde.
