Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Gladiateur by Pierre Lenordez was sold in the Sporting Art auction at Christies in London in May 2007. The price achieved of GBP 2,040.00 (€ 3,002.00) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 1,500.00 – 2,500.00. Admittedly, works by Pierre Lenordez have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work La Saut de la haie (Three steeplechasers taking a fence) in May 2008 with an auction result of GBP 10,625.00 (€ 13,515.46).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Gladiateur von Pierre Lenordez wurde im Mai 2007 in der Auktion Sporting Art bei Christies in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 2.040,00 (€ 3.002,00) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 1.500,00 – 2.500,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Pierre Lenordez auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit La Saut de la haie (Three steeplechasers taking a fence) im Mai 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 10.625,00 (€ 13.515,46).
