A top price for Pierre Legrain - as previously expected

In June 2020 Sothebys in Paris held the auction Important Design, which included the work Glove Box Boîte À Gants by Pierre Legrain. The price achieved of EUR 60,000.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 50,000.00 – 70,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Glove Box Boîte À Gants is the most expensive artwork by Pierre Legrain that we have observed at auctions so far.

Ein Spitzenpreis mit Ansage

Im Juni 2020 führte Sothebys in Paris die Auktion Important Design durch, in der auch die Arbeit Glove Box Boîte À Gants von Pierre Legrain zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 60.000,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 50.000,00 – 70.000,00 angegeben worden. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist Glove Box Boîte À Gants das teuerste Kunstwerk von Pierre Legrain, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
