This artwork by Pierre-Jules Mêne achieved an unexpectedly high price at Artcurial in Paris in February last year. In the Old Master & 19th Century Art auction, the work L'Accolade sold for EUR 7,800.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 4,000.00. Admittedly, works by Pierre-Jules Mêne have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work L'Accolade in May 2006 with an auction result of GBP 21,600.00 (€ 31,528.96).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 95 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Pierre-Jules Mêne erzielte im Februar letzten Jahres bei Artcurial in Paris einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Old Master & 19th Century Art wurde die Arbeit L'Accolade für EUR 7.800,00 versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 4.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Pierre-Jules Mêne auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit L'Accolade im Mai 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 21.600,00 (€ 31.528,96).
