Auction result misses estimated price range

This work of art by Pierre-François-Eugène Giraud could be acquired at Christies in New York in December 2004 for an unexpectedly low price. In the THE HOUSE SALE auction, the work A Spanish Lady holding a Fan changed hands for USD 5,975.00 (€ 4,413.50) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 6,000.00 – 8,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Pierre-François-Eugène Giraud achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work French La Douane Italienne Au Simplon in November 2014 with an auction result of USD 125,000.00 (€ 100,498.47).

Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne

Dieses Kunstwerk von Pierre-François-Eugène Giraud konnte im Dezember 2004 bei Christies in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion THE HOUSE SALE wechselte die Arbeit A Spanish Lady holding a Fan für USD 5.975,00 (€ 4.413,50) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 6.000,00 – 8.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Pierre-François-Eugène Giraud erzielen.
