Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2000 Christies in London held the auction IMPRESSIONIST AND 19TH CENTURY ART, which included the work A mother and child in a church interior by Pierre Ernest Prins. The price achieved of GBP 1,175.00 (€ 2,008.41) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Pierre Ernest Prins - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work L'embouchure de la Laïta au Pouldu, which sold at auction in June 2013 for GBP 5,000.00 (€ 5,835.90).

Im Oktober 2000 führte Christies in London die Auktion IMPRESSIONIST AND 19TH CENTURY ART durch, in der auch die Arbeit A mother and child in a church interior von Pierre Ernest Prins zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 1.175,00 (€ 2.008,41) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 1.000,00 – 1.500,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Pierre Ernest Prins mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit L'embouchure de la Laïta au Pouldu beobachtet, die im Juni 2013 für GBP 5.000,00 (€ 5.835,90) versteigert wurde.
