The upper estimate was set at a - in retrospect quite modest - GBP 900.00 but the actual price achieved was more than three times as high at GBP 3,585.00 (€ 5,614.16). Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Pierre Chasselat; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot A young woman seated on a chair, her foot on a cushion sold at auction in April 2002 with the realized price of GBP 3,525.00 (€ 5,703.36).
