In July 2010 Sothebys in London held the auction Master Drawings from a Distinguished European Collection, which included the work Recto: Thetis Attended By Nereids; Verso: An Alternative Study Of The Composition And The Interior Of A Cupola And A Nude Figure by Pierre Brébiette. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 16,250.00 (€ 19,538.79), 35% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Pierre Brébiette - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Deux Vertus Se Donnant L'Accolade Devant Un Soldat Nain, which sold at auction in March 2009 for EUR 56,302.00.

Im Juli 2010 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Master Drawings from a Distinguished European Collection durch, in der auch die Arbeit Recto: Thetis Attended By Nereids; Verso: An Alternative Study Of The Composition And The Interior Of A Cupola And A Nude Figure von Pierre Brébiette zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 16.250,00 (€ 19.538,79) und damit 35% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Pierre Brébiette mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Deux Vertus Se Donnant L'Accolade Devant Un Soldat Nain beobachtet, die im März 2009 für EUR 56.302,00 versteigert wurde.
