Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Pierre-Alexandre Wille could be acquired at Sothebys in New York in October 2021 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Master Paintings and Drawings auction, the work Portrait of a young man, bust-length, looking up changed hands for USD 2,520.00 (€ 2,181.44) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Pierre-Alexandre Wille achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work "La Mère Indulgente" Et "Les Conseils Maternels" in March 2016 with an auction result of EUR 22,750.00.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Pierre-Alexandre Wille konnte im Oktober 2021 bei Sothebys in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Master Paintings and Drawings wechselte die Arbeit Portrait of a young man, bust-length, looking up für USD 2.520,00 (€ 2.181,44) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 3.000,00 – 5.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Pierre-Alexandre Wille erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit "La Mère Indulgente" Et "Les Conseils Maternels" im März 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 22.750,00.
